Meet the team
We’re a small, hands-on team actively developing our own farm in West Devon with one clear goal: to do it using only zero-emission vehicles and equipment.
When we couldn’t find cost-effective battery electric machines in the UK, we decided to design and develop our own. When we found how great they are, we decided to offer them to others.
That’s how SBF ECO Machines began because we knew there was a better way to work. But we’re not just here to sell electric machines; we use them ourselves every day. Every model we offer has been tested on our own projects, and we only supply machines we genuinely believe in. If we recommend it, it’s because it works for us, and we believe it will work for you, too.
Why we’re selling these machines
We’re not resellers—we’re operators. We use this equipment on our own land, in real conditions, every single day. From shifting materials to clearing ground and digging footings, we’ve tested our machines where it matters most: in the field.
Now, we want to make them accessible to others like us; smallholders, contractors, estate managers, equestrian professionals, and anyone who needs reliable, hard-working equipment without the bulk, noise, or emissions of traditional diesel machines.

Why we build electric
We believe the future of farming, construction, and land management must be sustainable, and that starts with the tools we use. Diesel-powered equipment is loud, polluting, and often overbuilt for small to medium scale work. We needed machines that were tough, capable, and zero-emission without breaking the bank. When we couldn’t find what we needed here in the UK, we developed our own.
Our electric machines are built to handle real work. Quietly, cleanly, and cost-effectively. Whether you're digging, lifting, or hauling, you can get the job done without fumes, noise, or high maintenance costs. And when your clients ask about your sustainability practices, you’ll have the equipment to prove it.
Why lithium
We only supply machines powered by lithium-ion or LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) batteries, never lead-acid. Why? Because lithium is safer, longer-lasting, and better performing. It charges faster, delivers consistent power, and needs no maintenance—everything you need for a machine that just works, day after day. Lithium (especially LFP) batteries are also easier and safer to recycle than lead-acid batteries, which contain hazardous materials like lead and sulfuric acid that require more complex handling and pose greater environmental risks.
