Frequently asked questions
-
A: Yes. Our machines are designed for real-world use and tested daily on our own projects. They deliver strong, consistent torque and are ideal for small to medium-scale work moving materials, digging, lifting, and more.
-
A: We only supply machines with lithium-ion or LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) batteries. These are safer, last longer, charge faster, and require no maintenance compared to older lead-acid batteries.
-
A: Smaller machines can be charged via a standard 13A 230V socket or 16A CEEFORM outlet. Larger models require a 32A 230V CEEFORM outlet. Charging is simple, quiet, and can be done overnight.
-
A: Most machines offer a full working day of use on a single charge, depending on workload and conditions. Runtime varies by model and usage but is generally between 6 to 8 hours of continuous operation.
-
A: While the machines are designed to withstand tough conditions, we recommend storing them indoors or under cover when not in use, ideally in a dry, well-ventilated space. This helps preserve battery health, protect sensitive components, and extend the machine's life. If outdoor storage is necessary, use a heavy-duty weatherproof cover and ensure all charging points are sealed.
-
A: Absolutely. We're based in West Devon and regularly use these machines on our own farm. Visits are welcome by appointment. Just contact us to arrange a demo.
-
A: Most major manufacturers have been slow to adopt zero-emission technology, and the few electric models they do offer often come with a high price tag to offset research and development costs. At SBF ECO Machines, every model we supply is tested on our own farm in real working conditions. We only offer equipment that meets our standards for reliability, performance, and durability. You may not be paying for a big-name brand—but you are getting a tough, well-engineered machine that’s built to get the job done.
-
A: All new machines come with a 1-year or 1,000-hour (whichever comes first) return-to-base repair warranty. Ex-demo and refurbished machines come with a similair minimum six-month, 500-hour warranty from the date of sale. We also provide practical support and stock key spare parts to keep you running.
-
A: Most of our machines are built to order and generally take 12 to 18 weeks to deliver. Occasionally, we have machines in stock or ex-demonstration equipment. For these items, we typically try to deliver within 10 working days.
-
A: We accept bank transfers and most major credit cards.
-
A: The delivery charge depends on the size and quantity of your order. When you're ready to place an order, get in touch, and we’ll provide a delivery quotation. Wherever possible, we use our own zero-emission vehicles for transport. For larger or more complex deliveries, we work with trusted third-party logistics providers.
-
A: Let us know! We continually test and expand our range. If we don’t stock it yet, it may already be in development.
-
A: Our machines are ideal for smallholders, landscapers, contractors, estate managers, equestrian centres, and anyone who needs reliable, zero-emission equipment that works without compromise.
